NGC6992
The photo below is of the The Eastern Veil nebula (also referred to as the Network nebula),
NGC6992, located in Cygnus. It was capture in August of 2006 (under light fog) with the SXV-H9,
through an Astronomik lum filter (in a TrueTech color wheel) mounted on an ED100, with
Lumicon focal reducer, at f/6. The exposure info is Lum: 28X6min; combined in MaximDL, log-log
stretched with FITS Liberator, and processed in PS CS2 w/ an application of Gradient
Xterminator. The next iteration of this nebula will get a light DDP prior to the Liberator stretch.

I never had the chance to return for RGB exposures in 2006, but plan to continue during the
summer of 2007, with another couple hours of lum, followed by four hours of RGB
This photo is of a portion of the Veil Nebula, NGC6992, located nearby the Witch's
Broom, NGC6960. This portion is also called the
Network, Filamentary, or Lacework
nebula (including 6995) in Cygnus

Photo details:
Taken w/ the H9 through Astronomik LHaRGB filters in the FLI wheel using the TV
FL/RD on the 80ED @ f/6. Photo processed as (LHa)(RHa)GB from 3hrs lum, 3hrs Ha,
and 2hrs each of RGB (12hrs total) exposure.
