Uranus & Neptune
This image of Neptune, and surrounding objects, was taken with the SXV-H9 on the mewlon,
at native focal length (f/12) on the morning of 6/18/06. Exposure info: L 15X10s, RGB ea
10X10s. The "star" nearest Neptune is its moon Triton, orbiting ~350,000Km from the planet.
The other objects in the photo (>mag 17) did not move relative to their positions on a photo
made a few days earlier, and are probably all stars
The phot0 below is of Uranus, taken on Sept 13, 2008
under moderate seeing and transparency with the
Lumenera at f/40 on the Mewlon 250. Image resized X2
from capture.
This photo (IR/UV blocked lum) photo of Uranus was
mad on 8/22/07 @ f/36 on the Mewlon 250, then resized.
Notice the albedo associated with the portion of the
planetary ball facing the sun.
