| IC1795/NGC896 |
The image below is of the emission nebulas IC1795 (noted in some lists as the "North Bear" nebula) and
NGC896 (the peak of the little man's/bear's head), located in Cassiopeia. This nebula was first noted by
Herschel in 1787. The nebulosity in the lower left is from the much larger IC1805 complex, and even larger
Sharpless 2-190. There are several dark nebulas in the frame (LDN1356-1362), and one small, dim cluster,
Tombaugh 4, located just below, and to the left of were the man/bear rises out of the nebulous soup.
